The fascia is the board running along the edge of your roof. It seals the roof edge and carries the weight of your gutters. The soffit is the panel underneath the overhang, and it ventilates your attic. Together they finish the roofline and keep water and pests out.
Removal and disposal of the existing materials, installation of new soffit and fascia, and all the accessories a proper job requires, including j-channels and decorative belts.
If both need attention, yes. The gutters have to come down to access the fascia anyway, so doing them together means one setup, one crew, and one visit instead of paying for access twice. It also means we’re never hanging new gutters on old wood.
Often just the damaged sections. If the rot is localized we patch, reinforce, or replace only what’s failing. If the damage runs the length of the roofline, full replacement is usually the better value, and we’ll tell you which situation you’re in.
